For the last seven years or so family Vošten has been winning gold medals for their monocultivar extra virgin olive oil made from buža – the queen of Istrian extra virgin olive oils. Scent of white flowers and dry hay, sweetened with aromas of nuts. The taste is sweet but well-balanced with the refreshing bitterness that comes to surface a bit later. It will be adored by people who like sweet, gentle and not pepperish olive oils. Perfect oil for unusual desserts with dark chocolate, chocolate mousse for example, but also with delicate fish and salads. They also produce good olive oil from more common Leccino and Pendolino varietals.
