Some wise guy once said: “To travel is better than to arrive”. Located on the first floor of Split Ferry Terminal, this trendy and hip restaurant will put you into a travel mood even without leaving the city. Thanks to the contemplementing view of the neighboring islands of Brač and Šolta, or on busy Split’s Riva, you’ll feel like you’re on a luxury cruise liner that is about the leave the port. Chef Nikša Boban offers a more international style of menu that concentrates on Mediterranean cuisine. Therefore, fruit and vegetables sourced from Dalmatian farmers, local olive oil, fresh Mediterranean herbs and seafood from Split’s peškarija are never missing in their pantry.

Nikša started us off with his pancakes stuffed with prawns, followed by a simple risotto with mint and prawns, and a tuna prosciutto salad. It’s so rare to find duck meat on the menus of Croatian restaurants so we couldn’t resist ordering roasted duck breasts in wild berry sauce served with grilled orange-spiced polenta. If you want to taste arguably the most popular dessert from the socialist 80′s don’t miss ordering the pancakes filled with nuts in chateau sauce (wine flavored zabaione mousse)! Unusual for Croatian restaurants, there’s a good choice of wine by the glass, too.
